A lifelong learner who believes the best ideas come from the people closest to the work.
I'm from Southern California and spend most of my time between Los Angeles and Bakersfield. My background is in healthcare administration, organizational leadership, and organizational theory and analysis, and my goal at work is to bring document management solutions into new areas.
After my heart transplant, I went back to school. I worked full time through rehabilitation while earning my bachelor's, then took three classes a term instead of the usual one to finish my master's. I graduated from the University of Maine at Presque Isle with a 4.0 GPA, was named Student of the Year by the American Council on Education, and went on to earn my Doctor of Healthcare Administration.
Outside of work
I'm a dog person, a big science fiction fan, and I love documentaries and novels. I grew up between Central and Southern California and New Mexico, on the border of the Navajo Nation, and Alaska might be my favorite place I've ever been. I dream about traveling the world, meeting new people, and learning new cultures, which ties right back into my love of organizational theory.
